A new IETF non-working group email list has been created.

List address: gear@ietf.org
Archive: https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/gear/
To subscribe: https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/gear

Purpose:
This mailing list is focused on managing granular encrypted data at very large scale. Enterprises often encrypt data at the application level, with granularity as small as a single database field. Such huge amounts of ciphertext can only be managed using custom metadata, which led to this initial proposal for a ciphertext header: draft-sheffer-ietf-ciphertext-format.

This list belongs to IETF area: SEC
