Technical Summary

   This document provides a set of compliance statements about the CMC
   (Certificate Management over CMS) enrollment protocol.  The ASN.1
   structures and the transport mechanisms for the CMC enrollment
   protocol are covered in other documents.  This document provides the
   information needed to make a compliant version of CMC.

   This document obsoletes RFC 5274 and RFC 6402.

Working Group Summary

    There is support in the LAMPS working group.  
    There was very little controversy about any of the updates to CMC.

Document Quality

    
    There is a normative downref to Informational RFC 3394, which is already
    in the downref registry.

    There is a normative downref to Informational RFC 9579, which is _not_
    in the downref registry.
