Swallow, M. Chen, G. Fioccola, G. Mirsky Status: Standards Track Stream: IETF Date: May 2024 Mailbox: sb@stewartbryant.com, swallow.ietf@gmail.com, mach.chen@huawei.com, giuseppe.fioccola@huawei.com, gregimirsky@gmail.com Pages: 18 Updates/Obsoletes/SeeAlso: None I-D Tag: draft-ietf-mpls-rfc6374-sfl-10.txt URL: https://www.rfc-editor.org/info/rfc9571 DOI: 10.17487/RFC9571 RFC 6374 describes methods of making loss and delay measurements on Label Switched Paths (LSPs) primarily as they are used in MPLS Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) networks. This document describes a method of extending the performance measurements (specified in RFC 6374) from flows carried over MPLS-TP to flows carried over generic MPLS LSPs. In particular, it extends the technique to allow loss and delay measurements to be made on multipoint-to-point LSPs and introduces some additional techniques to allow more sophisticated measurements to be made in both MPLS-TP and generic MPLS networks. This document is a product of the Multiprotocol Label Switching Working Group of the IETF. This is now a Proposed Standard. STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet Standards Track protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Official Internet Protocol Standards (https://www.rfc-editor.org/standards) for the standardization state and status of this protocol.
