|   | IPv6 Training Series: Starts Feb 4   Industry Network Technology Council (INTC)  has received a grant from ARIN to assist enterprises in North America with IPv6 deployment.  Our partner, the India Internet Engineering Society (IIESoc) has received a grant from ISIF Asia to assist enterprises in the Asia / Pacific region with the help of INTC.   Our vision is for a multi-year project to first provide training, then to do a deep-dive into security and application conversion, and lastly to help enterprises plan their IPv6 deployment.   We will make all our work public.  We are starting to do a network assessment and IPv6 deployment planning with one organization already.  We will be doing a formal Call for Participation for enterprises to work with us in security inventory, application conversion, and of course, deployment!    The first step is getting training on IPv6!   Our schedule is below.  This year, we will have a hands-on lab portion the week following most of the conceptual webinars.   Click HERE to register.  (You only need to register once to attend any or all classes).   The sessions until August are sponsored by a generous grant from ISIF-Asia.

Details of first IPv6 Webinar
The first IPv6 webinar, "Introduction to IPv6" will cover the following concepts:    Description: To be successful in implementing and understanding IPv6 networks, you need to first understand the IPv6 address methodology which is, in many ways, a fundamental change from the IPv4 paradigm. In this introduction, you will become familiar with what is different as well as what is the same with IPv6.

 • Public and private addresses
 • IPv6 Prefixes
 • IPv6 Address Structure
 • IPv6 Interface ID
 • IPv6 Addressing and Address Allocation Methods (stateless, statefull)
 • Address types, unicast, multicast, anycast
 • Address categories: global, site local, link local
 • Unique Local Unicast addresses
 • Zero compression
 • Special addresses (loopback, unspecified, IPv4 mapped IPv6)
 • Broadcast address elimination   This webinar will be followed by a hands-on lab to illustrate the concepts shown.  You do not need any equipment to participate.  We will send full instructions so that if you wish, you may do the same commands / exercises but this is entirely optional.   Please contact president@industrynetcouncil.org or info@iiesoc.in for any questions.

ARIN Virtual Fellowship Program
ARIN is excited to announce the relaunching of the Fellowship Program for their ARIN 47 Public Policy and Members meeting. This four-week virtual experience will provide focused interaction for a total of 10 Fellows to become fully prepared to attend and participate in ARIN 47 which will take place entirely online from 12-14 April. Learn more about this exciting program, and apply by 12 February for consideration.    For more information or to apply click HERE.
Enterprise Operations Survey
Industry Network Technology Council (INTC) is interested in soliciting information from enterprise technicians.  The purpose of this survey is to find out the most important problems that enterprises face on a day-to-day basis.  This will serve as a guidepost as to the kind of education (webinars) we might do or may be input to requirements to standards organizations.
Your information will remain completely private.  It will not be identified with your company in any way.  We do not have access to the email ID that you used to complete the survey.
Please help us by completing the short survey.  Click HERE.      Nalini Elkins : President: Industry Network Technology Council (INTC)
