FYI that there’s a local Rapha store that just opened in Chicago. As part of their recent opening, they have a small historical SRAM exhibit on display, from the GripShift era to the latest eTap stuff. Nice to nerd out a little on bikes and components (not too big) if you have a few minutes. They also serve coffee and other drinks in their café. There are some cool restaurants & bars in the immediate neighborhood so it could be good to do around lunchtime or dinner (closes 19:00), and there are a few other shopping boutiques as well. It is a short walk from the subway’s blue line, Damen stop.

Note: Chicago tax on any purchases will run around 10%. They have a sale on base layers right now (I think they said 30% off for the next week or two) and you can get 20% off anything using the “Flanders20” code or entering their ‘monuments’ contest online/in the store (but that discount ends today). I pass this along because this gear is not particularly inexpensive, though their new “Core” line is somewhat more affordable.
