Hello, all

=== From Laura

Thank you for your patience with getting this working group off the ground. As Murray said I am a new chair and I am still learning IETF processes. When Murray asked if I would chair the group, I agreed but requested an experienced IETF chair to co-chair the group and Tim agreed. Both Murray and Tim were at the meeting in Yokohama and had significant time commitments but still found time to answer questions and work with me. I want to thank both of them for their guidance and assistance.

=== From Laura and Tim

In terms of where we’re going from here, the chairs have negotiated a milestone shift to give us a little more space to get the problem statement finished. There is currently an active Call for Adoption for a draft. As Barry and others have pointed out, this draft is a starting point, not the final problem statement. We hope to use the extra time to refine and improve the problem statement to address the concerns that the current text is too vague.

In parallel, with the Call for Adoption and working on the language to include in the problem statement, we would also like to hear from operators with experience in the specific techniques of DKIM replay attacks. This includes operators who have had their DKIM d= used in a replay attack and operators who have been sent mail as part of a replay attack.

We do want to remind people that individuals, not groups, participate in IETF working groups. The DKIM replay issue is a problem that has been discussed in other industry groups. Some of the participants here are also present in those groups. We welcome participation from people who have experience with the issue and encourage them to share that information here.

Thank you again for your patience and participation

Laura and Tim, as chairs
