I think this is generally a fine plan, although I will note that a lot of bar settings around the Boston area are deliberately noisy, to improve turnover, so venues should be selected with that in mind. Aside from that, I agree generally with John’s assessment of how frequently I might attend; I think this is more a virtue than a vice.
