One day at an IETF reception, back in the days when acquisitions were all the
rage, I complained (as a joke) to Bernard that MS had acquired my vets' husband's company
(moving them all down to Seattle/Redmond, she on an B-2 visa) just to steal my cat
vet.   (Weirder things had already occured in M&A land)

Bernard lamented that he didn't actually have that kind of influence,... but
... are you saying there is a new cat vet in my town? "I need a new vet"
