Many people are in favor of that. Our plan is after the RFCs are incorporat=
ed (only three left!) to get it dispatched to an IETF consensus process.
Count me as one of the people in favor of it.
BTW - The tracker info is saying this will obsolete RFC5378.   RFC5378 is r=
eferenced by several core IETF Trust documents and by non-IETF standards de=
fining RFCs such as RFC5744.   Obsoleting RFC5378 would have many big impac=
t in many places both inside and outside the IETF.
