Barry,
    I want to make sure I understand your position:  If a member of
the IAB signs such a letter, what (in your opinion) would be an
appropriate way to note who they are?  Would it be appropriate to say
"John Doe, member IAB, speaking in an individual capacity"?  Should
they refrain from mentioning any connection to the IAB?
