The IAOC is seeking community input on a proposed Network Services Request for Proposal. The
successful bidder(s) will have the opportunity to compete for delivering network services at IETF meetings.

The IAOC has decided that it wants to issue a Network Services RFP during the current one-year extension
that VeriLan is working under to see whether it can identify other qualified providers, provide for a
backup for VeriLan, and maybe introduce some competition and competitive prices for these services.

The RFP is located here under the Community Review section:
<http://iaoc.ietf.org/rfpsrfis.html>

Comments to the Tools Management Committee at tmc@ietf-bids.org provided by 5:00 PM EST 6
November 2012 will be considered.

Proposed RFP Schedule

0.  Community review October 26 - November 6, 2012
1. IAOC approves RFP for publication November 7, 2012
2. RFP Issued by email: November 8, 2012.
3. Proposal submitted by email due no later than 5 PM EST
4. Proposal Review Period:  December 11 - 21, 2012.
5. Notification of selection:  January 3, 2013
6. Contract Negotiation and Agreement:  January 7 - 21, 2013.
7. Contract Accepted:  February 7, 2013.
8. Contract Commencement: March 1, 2013.

We appreciate your insight.  Thanks
