As long as you (the co-authors) accept that the process may mean unwinding the work you have done on (so far) 9 successive versions of this draft.

Another thing that bothers me is that RFC2026(bis) is only a small fragment of the problem. If you doubt that, please spend ten minutes at https://www.ietf.org/process/informal/ . BTW, that page has not been updated since RFC8789 (June 2020), which is when I stopped systematically tracking process updates and prompting the web site maintainers.
