Just to explicitly reiterate something outlined in Jari's note:
This Hackathon is not a Cisco event, but rather an IETF event sponsored
by Cisco. Thus one should be able to register via
https://www.ietf.org/meeting/92/hackathon-signup.html
without creating a Cisco DevNet account. Likewise the Note Well will
apply to this Hackathon, it will meet in the IETF venue and plans to use
IETF network, etc.

The fact that the primary source of information about this event has
been hosted on a Cisco website rather than an IETF site is definitely
unfortunate. But it doesn't change the nature of the event. I agree with
Jari's conclusion that we should move the information to an IETF wiki.
I'll follow up with the organizers to see that happen.

Despite all the frustration and confusion caused by the manner in which
this event was coordinated and announced, I think it is meant to be a
positive community-building exercise and I thank Cisco for sponsoring it.

Cheers,
-Benson
