Dear all,

I just hear the sad news today



Fred, in his multiple roles at the IETF (including IETF chair) and as 
Cisco Fellow, was a role model for me and a personal mentor.  His 
Internet contributions are obviously numerous.
For sure, he will be greatly missed.
