I skip and scan through some of them as I look for the bits that I’m interested in. I’ve sung the praises of IETF videos every chance I’ve had and really really appreciate the IETF putting their meetings online. Speaking as a user, here are the requirements I would like to see: -available to the public Internet in a format accessible to everyone -perpetual archiving of video content in an open format, this could be handled separately from hosting. -streamable, or downloadable through an open protocol(eg. bittorrent, sftp, scp) -If it’s going to be streamed recognise that people jump around in videos so it needs a smart buffering algo. -reasonably decent search functionality. It doesn’t have to be great, people just need to find stuff that they know already exists. -Lots of Javascript and cookie nonsense is annoying, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. However, please don’t force me create a new account for some website or service. —Andrew
