handwaving.   Even if I believed you, there's not enough information to 
even evaluate that statement.  For instance, I can't tell whether 
HTTPAPI would be "ineffective" because it wouldn't be excluding so many 
contributors whose opinions would have to be considered, or for some 
other reason.
