Maybe you haven’t been paying attention to hotel/motel rates in the past couple of years, but they have been undergoing significant inflation.

It might be a bit of a stretch to describe $US190/day as “very reasonable”, but - for a high-end hotel in the center of a large city - this hardly counts as “unreasonable” anymore, sadly.
