OK, a bit of a twee blend of retro rpg and video, but a nice concept imo.  

I’ve also seen one where you can move around and the volume of other people is reduced the further you are from them, so you can self organise into group who can only hear/see each other.

As you say, that type of innovation is badly needed as the hallway / coffee table / bar interactions are so useful.
