In France some use a source called 'ECDC' standing for European something.

What source is used by ncov.bii.virginia.edu/dashboard ?

The site 'santé publique' (public health) in France tells:
79360 'cas confirmés dans le monde dont 77253 en Chine'
means 'confirmed cases in the World of which 77253 are in China'

Whereas the site ncov.bii.virginia.edu/dashboard displays:
80357 'Confirmed'

I link this url from 'santé publique' in France but beware that URLs are
ephemeral

https://www.santepubliquefrance.fr/maladies-et-traumatismes/maladies-et-infections-respiratoires/infection-a-coronavirus/articles/infection-au-nouveau-coronavirus-sars-cov-2-covid-19-france-et-monde

This is the screen captured of what that URL displays.
