Fred was a friend and colleague. He was a leader in every sense, in the IETF, at Cisco, with groups large and small, and with individuals.
Fred had a knack for bringing people together and fostering collaboration.  He set an example for all of us through contributing in whatever way he could by doing the right thing.  I’m deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
