Andrew didn't point this out, but since TSVAREA has been paying attention
to it for the past couple of IETF cycles, the IAB does have
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-iab-protocol-transitions/ in active
development.

We're finding it helpful. Your mileage may vary, of course.
