Granted, I am not one of those people. I’m just trying to understand it better, as if I were to be asked such a thing for a project on my own git.nixmagic.com instance, where I am root on the server. Where in the Datatracker interface do you think it would make most sense to place this link?

Yes, for the time being, I would like something on

to remind me that I cannot do what I want to do from here and that I need to go to the Postorius sign-in page (which is great once I am there, my problem is remembering it is there that I want to be - one consequence of this thread could be that Postorius sign-in page will now stick in my memory better:-)
