Most of all the homicides in Chicago take place in a few square miles in certain areas a little outside the downtown district which is itself relatively safe. As Christer says most of those incidents are related to narcotics and the associated gang turf wars.

Chicago is a big city, and the murder rate varies widely between different areas. So, if you do your maths based on the numbers in the areas where IETFers are likely to move around, and the kind of activities IETFers are likely to participate in (much of the violence is related to gang/drug-related activities), I¹m sure the result is going to be even smallerŠ
