Which was updated by IGMP Version 2 in [RFC2236]. IGMP V2 was updated by Version 3 in [RFC 3376]. Only IGMP V1 protocol was classified as Internet standard where as other updated drafts are classified as proposed standard. Considering IGMP V2 and V3 multiple independent implementations developed and sufficient successful operational experience gained, the PIM WG decided to advance IGMP V2 and V3 protocol to Internet Standard. To move forward WG has decided to conduct survey across vendors and end users as part of this work. This document contains the list of questions which would be sent to vendors and users. 2. Procedures followed 2.1 Intended Recipient of Questionnaire 1 - Network Operator 2 - L3 Vendor 3 - Switch Vendor 4 - Host implementor 2.2 Response processing Response would be processed by non vendor and responses could also be sent anonymously. The responses would remain confidential and only combined result would be published. 2.3 Methodology A Questionnaire would be issued by the PIM WG chairs and would be announced widely to the vendors and operational community to obtain the information on IGMP implementation and deployments. 3. Questionnaire 1- Have you deployed IGMP-V3 in your network? 2- How long have you had IGMPv3 deployed in your network ? 3- Do you know if your implementation is based on [RFC3376] 4- Do you know if lightweight IGMPv3 [RFC5790] is deployed in your network ? 5- Have you deployed MLDv2 in your network ? 6- Have you deployed IGMP membership Exclude mode with source list defined in [RFC3376] 7- Does any application uses Exclude mode with source list for MLDv2 ? 8- Which part of IGMPv3 RFC 3376 is used more often ? 9- Do you have any other comments / concerns on IGMPv3 / MLDv2 [RFC3376] ? 10-Does your network still has deployment for IGMPv1 [RFC1112]?
