Thanks for your clarifications.  I'm sure there are things like the IDN stuff that I'm not aware of.

Another thing I don't hear mentioned in this discussion is IRTF.
I believe RFC2860 and supplements cover the IRTF as well.

BTW, is it possible to publish the supplement to RFC2860 as an RFC?
That would make it a lot cleaner and easier to reference.
