Yes, no doubt ThreadsMesh  was based on IEEE802.15.4 technologies.
Connecting them to the IP infrastructure  through some kind of gateway
perhaps should fall into IoT discussions as well. In addition,  these
documents will give us an excuse to find out whether the community thinks
if IoT@IETF should consider things beyond 'constrained nodes'. ( AR/VR
devices, video cameras, mobile robots etc.).
