Dear WG,

This MPLS data plane draft is updated to align with the latest IPv6 data
plane (rev-17) draft that addressed various review comments from our AD
(Med), Marc Blanchet for the ArtArt review, Wesley Eddy for the TSVART
review, and Shwetha Bhandari for the Intdir review.

The changes are mostly related to clarification and editorial as follows:

   - Move some text from Procedure to Packet Format as Packet format
section is moved ahead of the procedure section (from AD review)
   - Rename Reflected Header Data to Received Header Data to avoid having
the same name for the field and TLV causing ambiguity
   - Clarified the length field definition that it includes both fields
   (requested and received)
   - Added case for multiple headers matching the requested field
   - Added some text on how to get path MTU and updated handling for
multiple TLVs as well as rule for remove it (from bottom) for MTU exceed=
ed
   cas
   - Fix nits
   - Various editorial changes for grammar, articles, and spelling

Welcome your comments and suggestions.

Thanks,
Rakesh (for authors)

Internet-Draft draft-ietf-ippm-stamp-mpls-hdr-01.txt is now available. It
is a
work item of the IP Performance Measurement (IPPM) WG of the IETF.

Title: Simple Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (STAMP) Extensions
for Reflecting STAMP Packet MPLS Network Action Headers
   Authors: Rakesh Gandhi
            Tianran Zhou
            Zhenqiang Li
            Fabian Ihle
            Bin Wen
   Name: draft-ietf-ippm-stamp-mpls-hdr-01.txt
   Pages: 21
   Dates: 2026-10-16

Abstract:

The Simple Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (STAMP) and its
optional extensions can be used for Edge-to-Edge (E2E) active
measurements. In Situ Operations, Administration, and Maintenance
(IOAM) data fields can be used for recording and collecting Hop-by-
Hop (HBH) and E2E operational and telemetry information. This
document extends STAMP to reflect MPLS Network Action Sub-Stacks and
Post-Stack MPLS Headers, for HBH and E2E active measurements, for
example, using the IOAM data fields.
