   I like Manual Keying and all the benefits of it - and I think it deserves
   SHOULD or MAY. I don't love at the extent of a MUST ;-)

What do people think of the following statement:

"I like PING and all the benefits of it - and i think it deserves SHOULD 
or MAY. I dont think it deserves a MUST. After all, given all the work 
we have done on TCP, we should be able to phase out PING from the host 
requirements." 

Manual keying will always be useful, even if just for verifying that the 
low-level mechanisms are working. I think it needs to stay at MUST.
