Section 3 of the ISAKMP Version 7 draft states: Additionally all ISAKMP payloads MUST be aligned at 4-byte multiples Is this alignment reflected in the payload length? If it is, then it is a small amount of work on the sender but V6/V7 interoperablity is assured. If it is not, then it is slightly trickier/painful for the receiver, and V6/V7 interoperability is lost. Edward Russell erussell@ftp.com
