Wow... I'm shocked.=20

Hugh had a big impact on the early IPsec standards. We didn't always agree,=
 to say the least,=20
but he did help to make IPsec a better protocol. He also contributed to sev=
eral other WGs.=20

You couldn't help but appreciate how he stuck to his principles, even when =
it was very=20
inconvenient for him.=20

He tried hard to contribute towards organizations that could make a differe=
nce. I know he worked=20
with EFF, and I recall him talking about working with human rights groups i=
n Guatemala.=20

I hadn't heard from him in years, but I did run into him a year ago at a fo=
lk festival. He sounded
pretty much the same old Hugh at that time. =20
