Sure. Me too. Not the point. I'm just saying that what Nico is talking about is actually entirely legit, from the viewpoint of RFC 4193. The IETF could indeed go down this path, setting up a registry of some sort, or handing that task off to the IANA and the RIRs, as long as the work involves exclusively the fc00::/8 address space.

Part of the confusion exists because ULAs are defined in RFC 4193 as fc00::/7. In fact, there should be no major disconnect here.
