Thanks for our question.
We call it source routing rather than segment routing because source routing is more suitable to cover the scope, which intends to forward multicast packet without maintaining status for each multicast service.
For example, in the existing proposals, not only segment is considered to be used to encode the multicast path, bitstring is also utilized to present output port/adjacencies/egress nodes(combined with segment or not), in order to save encapsulation expanse.
