JCard and JCal use top-level arrays, not JSON “objects” (maps).
My message was about the proposal to recommend not using arrays as top level data items.

AFAICS, JCard and JCal are RFC 4627 compliant.

PS.: In my experience, calling JSON maps “objects” is the single most confusing thing in talking to people about JSON.
