Re Im playing on a anese copy of white 2 on my DS lite and am totally new to this. 

Calibrated my DS settings in RNG reporter, tested for Timer0 values a few times and found one that seemed more common than the others, found a bunch of encounters using that value, booted a second before the listed time, ran around inside the grotto for 256 steps, left and went back in to find nothing.

Tried it a few times both waiting naturally for

Should I use past tense or present tense in the situation below? I need the book "Last Christmas". But I don't have it. My teacher has it,I think he might lend it to me. So the day ends and another day comes,

I go to the school and asks the teacher:"I was wondering if you can lend me your book."
I think native speakers use "could", the past tense here. Can I use the present tense? Is it wrong
