 I put my bike up on CL today (I don't wanna sell it, but I'm moving and am unable to transport it) and I got a call from what appears to be a young couple interested in my bike.  They  told me that they are getting a loan for the bike (It's only 2k wtf) and they want to give me a certified check after they see the bike.

I told them that the only way I'd feel comfortable getting a check is if we did it at the bank that the check is issued from.  Am I crazy?

QUestion: Is there anything bad about a Pyramid scheme? It seems like the only bad thing about it is that you look like a jerk. Is it actually possible to lose  in one?
One way to lose ,  many times the product or service you are selling is  by your own ; if you don't sell, you get no  back and end up with a basement full of e.g. water filters or some .  The  you do get back...guess what...it's not 100% yours.  

Another example is simply the requirement that you have to pay  to get in the program, often times with little to no payout.  
Exactly. I think a general rule is that if you have to PAY to get the "job", then it's not actually a job. Getting rich quick is never what it seems.

Rather than staying exactly where I had been, I traveled to a nearby nebula that had an asteroid field in it and amused myself by practicing my piloting ss. It didnt hurt that the Hunter ship was one of the most maneuverable ships Id ever flown, which admittedly wasnt saying much as I hadnt flown that many ships. Still, my time in the army had swn me what was out there in the way of engines and weapons systems, and the Hunter vessel had plenty of both. But flying around and proving that playing the real version of asteroids wasnt that hard got tiring after a while, so I went back to being bored. Id have exercised if I hadnt been so hungry. I didnt even feel like moving my arms, let alone go running.
