Last Calls have an explicit termination date in order to give the 
community plenty of time to respond, thoughtfully if they wish. From the 
announcement:

Please send substantive comments to thelast-call@ietf.org  mailing lists by 27 October 2022.

It's not reasonable to assume that everyone who is going to respond, has 
already done so.   Some people (including myself) may wish to take due 
care in formally responding, to make sure they've patiently tried to 
evaluate all of the information presented in support of the proposed action.
