Hi, All:

Happy new year to you all in advance!
We have update the draft about PUA mechanism in recent quiet period. The change to the previous version are the followings:
1. Focus on the control plane convergence based on the PUA information, that is, BGP fail-over based on the PUA.
2 Add its application in MPLS and SRv6 LPM(Longest Prefix Match) based BGP next-hop failure environment.
3.Remove the parts that about tunnel between ABRs/Fast Rerouting and PUA capabilities announcement etc.
4.Other large amount of editorial changes.

The above changes are the reflections about the previous comments from the LSR experts. Please see whether there is other concern for the updates.
If there is no more comments/concern on it, we would like to ask the chairs to start the WG adoption call then?

Thanks again for the experts that comments in previous discussion, I will add all of your name on the next version.
More comments are welcome!

Best Regards

Aijun Wang

> Abstract:
> This document describes a mechanism to solve an existing issue with
> Longest Prefix Match (LPM), that exists where an operator domain is
> divided into multiple areas or levels where summarization is
> utilized. This draft addresses a fail-over issue related to a multi
> areas or levels domain, where a link or node down event occurs
> resulting in an LPM component prefix being omitted from the FIB
> resulting in black hole sink of routing and connectivity loss. This
> draft introduces a new control plane convergence signaling mechanism
> using a negative prefix called Prefix Unreachable Announcement (PUA),
> utilized to detect a link or node down event and signal the RIB that
> the event has occurred to force immediate control plane convergence.
