Hi,

Ditto - I was just explaining extlang subtags in a localization overview two
weeks ago to an IEEE-ISTO PWG working group doing a Projector MIB.

I respectively suggest that the ABNF production be left intact, but an
ABNF comment (and preceding/following body text) be added that says
"DEPRECATED - present only for backward compatibility".

Cheers,
- Ira

PS - ABNF is supposed to be totally stable in PWG standards-track specs.
