I don't see how attacking SIL for ideological reasons has any relevance for this list. The "linguistic illogicalit[y]" of "Serbo-Croatian" is by no means unique to SIL or Americans.

Exactly! It must be remembered that such linguistic illogicalities in
the Ethnologue in general can mostly only be accounted for by
assiduously studying the vagaries of American political/missionary/
overseas policies since SIL's foundation.
