Hello Randy, others,

Apologies to Randy, whom I should probably have included in the 
discussion when I suggested that the proposed -v- extension be discussed 
on this list.

As Sebastian writes in another mail, I indeed suggested that the -v- 
extension be discussed on the [e-mail] mailing list, like the -t- 
extension before. I also suggested that a draft be submitted.

I think it wasn't the intention by anybody to have anybody else being 
forced to leave the list. My guess is that if subscribers are 
interested in language tagging, they will be interested in the 
discussions around the -v- extension, to a greater or lesser extent.

I just pointed out that there's always the possibility of people 
unsubscribing from the list if they are overwhelmed by a sudden increase 
in mail from the list or if their interests have changed and they didn't 
yet unsubscribe because they rarely got any mail anyway.

Also, I never used the word "re-purpose". The LTRU list is for 
discussion of language tagging, and the proposed -v- extension is part 
of that, so there's no re-purposing.
