This document defines a new Data Item for the Dynamic Link Exchange
Protocol (DLEP) to support traffic classification. Traffic
classification information identifies traffic flows based on
frame/packet content such as a destination address. The Data Item is
defined in an extensible and reusable fashion. Its use will be
mandated in other documents defining specific DLEP extensions. This
document also introduces DLEP Sub-Data Items and defines two new
Sub-Data Items to support Diffserv and Ethernet traffic
classification.
This document is a product of the Mobile Ad-hoc Networks Working Group of the IETF.
This is now a Proposed Standard.
STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet Standards Track
protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Official
Internet Protocol Standards (https://www.rfc-editor.org/standards) for the
standardization state and status of this protocol. Distribution of this
memo is unlimited.
