The physical audio hardware is more of a limitation of the space. You have rooms with separate sound systems with microphones and speakers for a physical audience. Each stream needs to be tied into the existing room sound system.

You could use a computer in each room to pipe that sound over the network to a central stream server but now we’re just talking about where it’s being served from. My previous description was meant to describe that computer in that room connected to that sound system.
