Hi all,

The GeoJSON WG seeks to register application/geo+json-seq as the media type
for documents containing sequences of GeoJSON texts. Many geo-spatial
applications use a notion of newline-delimited GeoJSON objects to enable
incremental writing and parsing of very large or possibly infinite
sequences of spatial objects, but there's neither a canonical definition of
newline-delimited GeoJSON nor a media type to identify it.
application/geo+json-seq extends the media type defined in RFC 7464 and
accommodates both the colloquial newline-delimited, compact, GeoJSON
sequences developers use today and RS-delimited sequences of GeoJSON texts
that might be compact or pretty-printed JSON.

I've extracted the media type definition from version -02 of
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-geojson-text-sequence/ and
copied it below:

5. IANA Considerations

The MIME media type for GeoJSON feature sequences is application/
geo+json-seq.

Type name: application
Subtype name: geo+json-seq
Required parameters: n/a
Optional parameters: n/a
Encoding considerations: binary
Security considerations: See Section 3 above
Interoperability considerations: See Section 4 above
Applications that use this media type: No known applications currently use
this media type. This media type is intended for GeoJSON applications
currently using colloquial line-delimited variants of GeoJSON.

Additional information:

Magic number(s): n/a
File extension(s): n/a
Macintosh file type code: n/a
Object Identifiers: n/a
