This is request for comments on the "application/manifest+json" media type, as specified at:
https://www.w3.org/TR/appmanifest/#media-type-registration

In preparation for that specification to proceed to "Candidate Recommendation" as part of the W3C Process. 

We'd appreciate any feedback or otherwise to proceed with registration.

The application manifest MIME type is application/manifest+json.

If the protocol over which the manifest is transferred supports the [MIME-TYPES] specification (e.g. HTTP), it is RECOMMENDED that the manifest be labeled with the application manifest MIME type.

Optional parameters: N/A

Encoding considerations: Same as for application/json

Privacy and security considerations: See ยง 8. Privacy and security considerations.
