Status of Long Bud Project

In recent weeks, some significant progress has been made in the Long Bud
Pilot Project.  In particular, replication agreements have been established
between several Internet DSA's such that the top levels of the Open Community
Routing Tree are now replicated at several places in the U.S. and Europe.
These DSA's include two in the U.S., one in the U.K., two in Germany, and
one in France.

When the two German DSA's joined the pilot, they provided access to many X.400
routes within Germany.  A summary of X.500-based routing information is
attached.  Sites in the U.S., U.K., and Germany now provide routing information
in the Open Community Routing Tree which conforms to RFC's 1801, 1802, 1836,
and 1837.
