The relationship between ISO and MHS-DS may be described as
"friendly enmity".
I think the two are close enough that one could regard MHS-DS
as a real-life test of the concepts being worked on in ISO,
but in point of fact, the two groups seem to have felt it more
profitable to work separately.

I *hope* that ISO and the IETF community can cooperate better
in the future, so that we end up with one standard for this stuff.
