FYI -- As of 5-December-2015, Microsoft has issued an IPR claim regarding the MIF API Document discussed at our last meeting (draft-kline-mif-mpvd-api-reqs). The IPR claim can be found here: http://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/2722/ The claim is related to US Patent No. 7,568,236 granted July 28, 2009. The terms are RAND with the possibility of a royalty-free license. I have not read the patent, so I have no opinion regarding its relevance. I just thought the WG should know about this ASAP.
