Subject: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 and its downgrading
Sorry if my question has already been discussed on this list... I would like to know what is the correct behaviour for an X400-SMTP gateway, when it receives a 'text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1' and has to downgrade it to an X400-84 bodypart : . rfc1494 tells to create an EBP General-Text and rfc1496 tells that such an EBP should be encapsulated in an IA5 bodypart, as it has been received, because General-Text EBP has no corresponding 84 Basic Form, . but X419 tells that General-Text EBP downgrading should be done by creating an Undefined bodypart. What is the right behaviour ? ---------------------------------------------- Vincent ROUSSILLAT France Telecom Transpac Phone +33 99.28.34.17 Fax +33 99.63.66.87 X.400 : s=roussillat;o=transpac;a=atlas;c=fr Internet: vincent.roussillat@transpac.atlas.fr See also: http://www.transpac.fr
