This is a summary of state of the modemmgt working group. The most
recent draft of the mib (draft-ietf-modemmgt-mdmmib-01.txt) was
produced on January 14, 1994. It has been in review for some two
weeks.

Based on the discussion of the list, I believe we have reached a
tentative consensus. We have agreed on the basic rules to produce the
mib. We have agreed on the basic contents of the mib. We are
interating over serval objects, but I don't believe we will need to
make major changes to the mib.

As this point, I recommend the working group be allowed to continue.
I believe the group can complete the mission to which we have agreed.

PROPOSED PLAN

I propose the following plan with associated timetable. Basically, we
complete discussion of this internet-draft (ID-01) and produce ID-02.
We allow several weeks discussion on this draft, then try and agree on
it at the next IETF meeting in Seattle.

2/18 (Fri) - Discuss ID-01 on the mailing list until this date
2/28 (Mon) - Product ID-02 by this date
   3/28 - 4/1 - Working group meets in Seattle to approve ID-02

I believe we have a good chance of blessing ID-02 during a 2 hour
meeting in Seattle.
