Media over QUIC (MoQ) met after the MOPS session at IETF 115. There was
much of potential interest to the MOPS audience at this meeting in both
talks and subsequent discussion, so I urge you to review the video and/or
minutes if you were unable to attend the session. We've provided brief
summaries of each talk and links to the video below.

-Kyle + Leslie

Minutes: https://notes.ietf.org/notes-ietf-115-moq

Warp + RUSH + QUICR (Luke Curley)
https://youtu.be/E4vsfuoa65A?t=431
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/slides-115-moq-combined-proposoal/

Talk included an overview of video compression, and of how various network
conditions motivate requirements for, and impose constraints on, protocols
for video delivery. WARP+RUSH+QUICR is a combined proposal for dropping
frames based on assumed priorities of application.

Media over QUIC Relays (Cullen Jennings)
https://youtu.be/E4vsfuoa65A?t=3102
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/slides-115-moq-media-over-quic-relays/

An overview of the problem space for adding media relay functionality to
QUIC, including (among other things) issues related to provider
offload/fan-out, multi-CDN considerations, low-latency recovery, and
caching. Also discussed: who would run QUIC relays/relationships to CDNs.

Update of MoQ Use Cases and Requirements (Spencer Dawkins)
https://youtu.be/E4vsfuoa65A?t=6519

An update to Spencer and James Gruessing's individual draft aiming to tie
MoQ protocol development to requirements motivated by actual use cases.

There is likely to be an interim scheduled for early 2023. Please subscribe
to/follow the MoQ mailing list for more information.
